Cooking ‘cowboy stew’ with Chef DeJuan from the Alhambra

The Alhambra Theater and Dining, a popular local venue for more than 55 years, updates its menu for each show with some dishes to match the theme.

With OKLAHOMA running through March 31 at the theater, we had a visit from the Alhambra’s Chef DeJuan on River City Live to show us his special “cowboy stew.”

The recipe includes beef tenderloin, lima beans, corn, onions, tomatoes and his secret “Oklahoma spice blend.”

Chef DeJuan has been serving up themed meals at the Alhambra for about 12 years.

“Every six weeks or so we’ll change the menu and have something relative to the show. Not literal but seasonal and fresh,” DeJuan said.

Alhambra offers dinner, a show and parking for under $50. For more information, visit alhambrajax.com.
