Florida counties roll out new form for requesting vote-by-mail ballots

If you want to vote by mail in Florida, there’s a new form you must fill out to get a ballot.

The new form is now available in every county.

Some of the information a potential voter would have to give includes a Florida driver’s license number or an ID card number, and the last four digits of their Social Security card number.

The paperwork has to be submitted to the Supervisor of Elections Office in the voter’s county.

Filling out the form appropriately would allow someone to vote by mail for any election in 2024 and 2025.

A vote-by-mail request must be made at least 10 days before an election.

Due to a new law established in 2023, a Floridian has to register to vote by mail every two years instead of every four years.

In the 2022 general election, 2.7 million people in Florida voted by mail.
