JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man riding a bicycle was killed in a crash Tuesday night around 9:30 p.m., according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to FHP, a 25-year-old man was riding a bicycle west across Southside Boulevard near Leahy Road when an SUV heading north hit the bicyclist.

The cyclist was taken to a hospital where he later died. He was not wearing a helmet, the report said.
The 32-year-old man driving the SUV was not injured. He was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
The crash is under investigation.
