Watch out for Strep Throat

VIDEO: We've all either had strep throat or known someone who's dealt with it. Generally antibiotics are used to treat but there is a shot that wipes it out in hours.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Strep throat is going around in every county.  It's very contagious so doctors say beware.  In Clay County at the CareSpot in Middleburg they treated six patients in just two days. Four of them were preschool kids. Young kids are more susceptible  Make sure you get treatment.

Now to Nassau County at CareSpot in Yulee doctors are also treating Strep throat. Allergies and upper respiratory infection are also going around. Keep in mind if you're sick for several weeks or have a fever you might need to see your doctor. Depending on how bad it is they can give antibiotics.  But most of the cases are viral.
