JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three teachers were ordered suspended without pay at Monday night's Duval County School Board meeting.
A school board investigation found Terry Parker High School Teacher Darryl Countryman flipped a student out of a chair in September. He was suspended without pay for 30 days.
Englewood High School teacher Jonathan Burgess was suspended for 10 days after being accused of making fun of a student with autism and making inappropriate comments to students about their home lives.
Lee High School teacher Paul Carlson was suspended for 15 days. School board investigators said he used poor judgment when he aggressively grabbed a necklace a student was wearing and broke it.
