JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Landing held its 30th annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony Friday night.
The 56-foot-tall tree downtown was lit about 8:40 p.m. A 10-minute light show and fireworks followed.

The most important guest in attendance, Santa Claus, even shared some important tips for children, telling them they need to behave if they want to make it onto the "nice" list.
"They've got to listen to their mom and dad, because Mom and Dad are the last line to the elves," he said.
Santa also had some suggestions for what young Floridians can leave for him by the chimney on Christmas Eve.
"Make a good iced tea or lemonade nice and cold, and we're in. I'm not worried too much about the cookies," Santa said.
The tree features 80,000 lights and more than 150 ornaments.
