JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 21-year-old who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the 2012 death of a Clay County detective has been charged for a second time with violation of probation in South Carolina.
Jerry Daniels, who was 16 years old when he was arrested in the 2012 raid of a Middleburg meth house that ended in the death of Detective David White, pleaded guilty last year to violation of probation, and was arrested on the same charge again this month in South Carolina.

Daniels, now 21, was again brought back to Clay County on to face the charge.
Deptuies said Daniels had a non-prescribed prescription drug with him when he was pulled over in a traffic stop and had moved without notifying his probation officer.
Ted Tilley, who fired the shots that killed White, was shot and killed by other deputies. Daniels, along with three others who were in the house at the time, were charged in connection with White's death.
Daniels pleaded guilty to manslaughter and manufacture of meth, and was sentenced to three years time served and five years of probation. With the approval of White's family, Daniels was released to the custody of his grandmother in South Carolina to serve his probation.
The judge extended Daniels probation to a full five years, which he will serve in South Carolina.
