Officials said they tested for the morbillivirus, which has been killing dolphins along the East Coast since last fall.

The virus was cited in the deaths of 61 dolphins in northeast Florida last year and more than a dozen so far this year.

The last outbreak of the virus was in the late 1980s. Officials said this one is worse.
