GunTV will be based in California. It's set to launch in January with programming between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.

GunTV will face more restrictions than other shopping channels like Home Shopping Network or QVC.
INFOGRAPHIC: How GunTV Works
Viewers can't buy a firearm directly from GunTV and have it shipped to their home.
When someone calls GunTV, the network will place an order on their behalf with Sports South, a firearms distributor in Louisiana.
Sports South is then responsible for shipping the weapon to a local gun store in your area. The buyer will then go to that local gun store to complete the purchase.
The gun stores will still be completing background checks and follow record-keeping regulations.
GunTV's founder said in every hour of programming, three minutes will be dedicated to firearm safety training and education.
Below is the GunTV guide for the initial launch of six hour programming.
