HASTINGS, Fla. – A 20-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon on lewd and lascivious behavior charges along with violation of probation, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.
Earl Robinson was booked into the county jail on no bond pending a first appearance hearing Friday morning, deputies said.

The Sheriff's Office said the investigation began about two weeks ago when the mother of a 12-year-old girl discovered the girl allegedly had a sexual encounter with Robinson earlier this month at his home.
Following the initial report, Special Victims' Unit detectives were assigned the investigation, deputies said.
Detectives notified the Florida Department of Children & Families and they scheduled a Child Protection Team interview with the girl, authorities said.
Detectives gathered probable cause and obtained an arrest warrant Thursday for Robinson. Deputies said he was brought in to the Sheriff's Office and then booked into the county jail.
Robinson was on felony probation stemming from a similar arrest in Flagler County last year, according to the Sheriff's Office.
