Former Jaguars player Marcus Stroud set to open ‘Baby Got Brunch’ restaurant downtown

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive lineman Marcus Stroud is moving from football to business. Stroud is becoming an entrepreneur and opening a restaurant downtown, according to News4JAX news partner the Jacksonville Daily Record.

Stroud played for the Jags from 2001 to 2007 and finished his playing career in Buffalo back in 2010.

He’s now planning to open a brunch-themed restaurant dubbed “Baby Got Brunch.”

It will be a 5,000-square-foot eatery that will be part of the Residences at City Place Condominiums on North Jula Street.

The restaurant’s name is an homage to Stroud’s nickname — “Big Baby.”

Brunch will be offered all day and the menu will feature items like chicken and waffles, short ribs, burgers and shrimp and grits.

An opening date hasn’t been set.
