Lanes reopen after multiple crashes on Dames Point Bridge during afternoon rush

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Several crashes were causing traffic delays on the Dames Point Bridge Thursday afternoon.

As of 5 p.m., the Florida Department of Transportation was reporting three crashes on the span of the bridge.

One multi-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes at the north end of the bridge was blocking the right shoulder.

Another multi-vehicle crash in the middle of the bridge was blocking a northbound left lane.

As of 7 p.m., both of those crashes were cleared.

A third crash at the south end of the bridge was blocking a northbound center lane.

That crash has also since been cleared.
