COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – Five Columbia County residents were arrested in a meth lab bust Monday.
Deputies said concerned citizens notified the Columbia County Sheriff's Office of a possible clandestine methamphetamine lab in the 3100 block of North U.S. Highway 441.

As deputies approached the residence, they said a man standing at the open front door ran into the home. Deputies said they saw a second man standing in the home with meth processing materials in his hands.
Additional drug paraphernalia could be plainly seen on the floor of the home, deputies said. They said they were able to secure both men, and two women were found in the kitchen and secured by deputies.
A third woman was found hiding in a bathroom of the home, deputies said. Other items believed to be actively processing methamphetamine were found in the bathroom with the woman, deputies said.
Investigators searched the home and said they found several items consistent with the clandestine manufacture of methamphetamine and fully processed methamphetamine.
All five suspects were arrested and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility, each with bail set at $46,000.
Arrested were Allen Velleca, 23, Kimberly Skinner, 20, John Raulerson, 25, Amanda Miller, 39, and Jessica Charles, 28. All are from Lake City.
