FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – The body of the pilot in a recent plane crash has been recovered, the Florida Highway Patrol announced Thursday.
The recovery of the pilot's body and the plane wreckage took almost a week because of the location of the crash site. The wreckage was found in a marshy area near Pellicer Creek west of Interstate 95 in Flagler County.

Recovery specialists with the National Transportation Safety Board were called in to try to recover the plane.
FHP said a medical exam of the body must be performed to confirm if it is that of Raymond Miller, the plane's owner.
Miller, 77, was last seen leaving the Flagler County Airport Friday morning. The airport manager told police Miller (pictured) took off and headed northeast, but never returned.
Investigators said earlier this week Miller's family spoke to police at about 7 p.m. Thursday. He told his family he was taking the plane out Friday to practice touch-and-go landings. Miller's family said he has no known medical issues, and the farthest they know he's flown the plane is about 15 miles.
The plane Miller was in is described as an unpainted aluminum Sonex-Waiex experimental-type aircraft with "461MM" on the tail.
