JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman suffered life-threatening injuries Saturday after a truck drove over the Beach Boulevard median near Cortez Road and crashed into her SUV, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
Police said it is unclear why the white pickup truck drove over the median about 3:30 p.m.

The crash caused the woman’s red car to catch fire, police said.
The Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department said the woman was trapped inside her car.
Fire crews were able to pull the woman from the car and she, along with two other people, were taken to Jacksonville Memorial Hospital.
