Jacksonville was among Trulia.com's list of ten hottest real estate markets to watch in 2017.
The real estate website compiles the annual list of the cities expected to grow the most based on five factors: High affordability, strong job growth, low vacancy rates, home searches on its website and, because of the 2016 presidential election's outcome, a large population of Republicans.

Trulia cited both jobs and the city's location along the St. Johns River as to why Jacksonville made the cut this year.
“There are so many people moving here and very little leaving,” Michael Paull, an area real estate agent, told Trulia. “There’s long-term economic stability here plus great schools, fantastic weather and proximity to the ocean.”
