JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 24-year-old Jacksonville man who stole a vehicle from a Zaxby's parking lot in 2013 was sentenced Friday to 30 years in prison, which includes a 10-year mandatory minimum sentence, according to the State Attorney's Office.
Joshua Antwan Meeks was convicted last month of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer.

The victims were at Zaxby’s on University Boulevard in January 2013 when Meeks approached them in the parking lot with a gun.
Meeks threatened the victims and demanded their belongings. The victims fought back, but Meeks stole a purse and a vehicle from one of the victims.
Meeks was involved a few days later in a hit-and-run accident while driving the stolen vehicle. He was arrested after leading officers on a high-speed chase.
