It will take place from May 18th to the 22nd

Raven's Challenge is an annually conducted interoperability training and information sharing exercise between EOD elements to include military and public safety bomb squads. Raven's Challenge IX (RC IX) is sponsored by Headquarters Department of the Army's (HQDA) Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-3/5/7 G-38 office. The Department of Justice (DOJ) C-IED, specifically the DOJ's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) National Center for Explosives Training and Research (NCETR) directs staffing to plan and support Raven's Challenge each year. There is also integral support from and partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and all branches of the armed services.

Personnel from the Florida Army National Guard's 221st EOD based at Camp Blanding, the Georgia National Guard, and the North Carolina National Guard will also participate in this event.

The Florida National Guard continues to make every effort to minimize noise but there are times such as this when noise may seem louder than normal to the public, and as the wind direction shifts. Residents near the training center can discuss noise concerns with Camp Blanding's Range Control Office at (904) 682-3351
