Mandarin neighborhoods targeted with hate-filled fliers

No description found

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Local families are shaken up after finding hate-filled fliers around their Mandarin neighborhood. The messages specifically target people of the Jewish faith.

Neighbors living on Bear Valley Road reached out to News4JAX after finding these fliers on their driveways Sunday morning.

This comes just a short time before the start of two of the most important Jewish holidays -  Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Unfortunately, neighbors we talked to say this isn't the first time.

We spoke with one family who called police as soon as they found a flier. It turns out police were already investigating. Someone else had already called saying they got the same note. The flier says it is National Socialist Movement headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. The logo includes a Nazi swastika.

That family we spoke with wanted to remain anonymous. They are Jewish. They want to send a message that this type of thing is unacceptable.

"It makes me mad. It’s disgusting. For something like this to happen in 2016 at this point in time with everything going on. America was built on all types of people coming here, and for this to come up it’s disheartening."

Police are investigating. We'll keep you updated on this story on air and online.
