GAINESVILLE, Fla – Police in Gainesville have arrested the son of Congressman Ted Yoho on charges of driving under the influence.
Tyler Marlin Yoho, 24 was booked into the Alachua County Jail just after 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

Officers with the Gainesville Police Department say they got a call from witnesses, who told them a man was asleep inside his car, in the middle of the road on Northwest 31st Terrace. When officers arrived, they found Yoho behind the wheel of the car.
The officers had Yoho perform field sobriety exercises. Police say he performed very poorly. That's when Yoho was arrested. Yoho refused to let the officers give him a breathalyzer test.
This is not the first time the Congressman's son has had troubles with the law. A court records search shows Tyler Yoho was arrested in October of 2012 for resisting arrest. GPD officers were called after Yoho was supposedly involved in a fight.
Officers say Yoho was confrontational when they arrived at the scene of that fight in October of 2012. At first, they issued him a notice to appear in court, but they say Yoho continued to act in a confrontational way towards them, so they arrested him.
News4Jax has contacted a representative for Congressman Yoho for a statement. So far the Congressman has not responded.
