GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – A fugitive wanted on attempted murder and assault charges out of South Carolina was captured Monday in Glynn County.
Lamont Frantrez Elmore, 23 of Mt. Carmel, South Carolina, was arrested without incident about 8:15 p.m. Monday on Cleburne Street, police said.

Elmore had outstanding warrants for assault and attempted murder issued by the McCormick County Sheriff’s Office in McCormick, South Carolina.
The warrants were a result of a shooting incident reported Saturday on Talbert Road in McCormick, South Carolina, police said.
Elmore's arrest was the result of a joint investigation by the McCormick County Sheriff’s Office, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the United States Secret Service, the Brunswick Police Department and the Criminal Investigations Division of the Glynn County Police Department.
