GAINVESVILLE, Fla. – Florida State had to wait through seven and a half hours of weather delays for their second Super Regional game against Sam Houston State. Once the weather broke, it didn't take the Seminoles long to earn their 22nd trip to the College World Series.

On the third pitch of the game, Taylor Walls homered. Later in the first, Matt Henderson's two run double stretched the FSU lead to 4-0.  Home Runs by Quincy Nieporte in the second, and Walls' second of the game in the third had the Seminoles on their way. FSU went on to a 19-0 win to sweep the Super Regional and earn their fourth visit to Omaha since 2000.

After winning a marathon 11-inning game to open the Super Regional against Wake Forest, Florida will have to wait until at least Monday to punch their ticket to the College World Series in Omaha after game two was suspended due to rain and lightning with Wake Forest leading 5-4 in the fifth inning.

The Demon Deacons, who lead the nation in home runs, used two long balls, one by Gavin Sheets, his 21st of the year, to take an early 4-0 lead. Florida battled back behind a 2-run homer by Deacon Liput.  With the game tied, Wake Forest's Johnny Aiello solo shot, the third of the game for the Deacons, gave Wake the 5-4 lead. Then the rains came.

The game is scheduled to be resumed at 1 p.m. Monday in Gainesville.
