JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaguars running back Chris Ivory returned to EverBank Field on Thursday, but the team announced Friday both Ivory and cornerback Prince Amukamara will not play Sunday's game in San Diego.
Ivory was released from the hospital on Tuesday. According to the team, Ivory was "doing well."

Ivory released a statement Thursday:
This past weekend was a challenging time for my family and me because of an emergency medical condition that developed while I was with my team at the hotel. I am now grateful to be back in the facility and able to refocus on the game that I love.
I want to extend a special thanks to the Jaguars medical staff, the first responders and everyone at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville for their assistance over the past couple of days.
I appreciate everyone’s sensitivity during this personal matter, and I’m ready to be back out on the field and look forward to doing so in the near future. Thank you for all for your support. I want you to know that I read each and every message and I’m thankful for them all.
Ivory was admitted to the hospital Sunday morning for a general medical issue. The team hasn't disclosed the exact cause of Ivory's visit to the hospital.
Jaguars coach Gus Bradley did clarify that Ivory didn't undergo surgery during his hospital stay.
Ivory declined to explain Thursday what sent him to the hospital.
“I’d rather not speak about the specifics, but it’s something that needed the attention," Ivory said. "Went in with pain and got the problem fixed.”
Ivory said the issue is resolved and shouldn't give him any more trouble.
"I did a little cardio today, and now it's day by day," Ivory said.
Without Ivory in the lineup, the Jaguars run game struggled against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The Jaguars managed just 48 yards on 26 rushing attempts (1.8 yards per carry), during their 27-23 loss to Green Bay.
There is no timetable for Ivory's return to the field and his status for Sunday's game at San Diego has yet to be determined.
“I’m not going to put a time on it, but when the time comes, I’ll be ready to go," Ivory said.
