JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sharks(10-0) kept up their winning ways Saturday night, defeating the Dayton Wolfpack(0-7) 77-32 in front of a raucous season-high crowd of 9,160 in the Shark Tank.

National Arena League MVP candidate Derrick Ross started the scoring off for the Sharks, his first of 4 in the game.  Dayton stuck with the Sharks for much of the first half, even leading during the 1st quarter.  Eventually the Sharks were able to wrestle the momentum away from Dayton, going into halftime leading 32-26.

Sharks quarterback Damien Fleming used his arm and his legs to beat the Wolfpack, running and throwing for multiple scores. The former Florida A&M Rattler has been perfect since stepping into the starting role following the season-ending injury to Tommy Grady.

Reigning NAL defensive player of the week Erick McIntosh scored a touchdown on an interception for the second straight game, going coast to coast on Dayton’s first possession of the second half thanks in large part to a bone-rattling block by teammate Charlie Hunt.  He added another interception later in the 3rd quarter.  McIntosh wasn’t the only Shark defensive player who made his impact felt, newly signed defensive lineman Damien Jacobs added 1.5 sacks and a safety in the 4th quarter.

Jacksonville plays at home again next week to host the High Country Grizzlies (3-5) for their Christmas in June promotion. The two teams played previously, a 68-21 Jacksonville victory on April 9th in Boone, North Carolina.
