A 19-year-old man died in a crash that closed lanes of County Road 218 in both directions at Eagle Point Road in Middleburg on Wednesday morning.
The lanes have since reopened.

The Florida Highway Patrol said that at 7:28 a.m., a pickup truck was traveling west on CR 218 and another pickup truck driven by a 21-year-old man was driving east on the same road.
Officials said the westbound truck’s front left collided with the other truck’s driver’s side doorway in a head-on collision. Both trucks came to a final rest on the eastbound shoulder.
The 19-year-old was ejected from the truck and died at the scene, FHP said.
The other driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
