Memorial Day weekend forecast calls for heat and scattered storms

Scattered storms bring risk of heavy rain and gusty winds throughout the weekend

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Patchy fog will develop overnight, especially for those areas that saw storms.

The pattern will remain the same as we head into the Memorial Day weekend. Showers and storms will be possible each day and it will be very warm with highs near 90 degrees.

Heavy rain, gusty wind and frequent lightning will be possible in any storm. The rip current risk will remain elevated as well, use caution if you are heading in the water.

Storm coverage will remain widespread early next week thanks to the southerly wind. Highs on Monday and Tuesday will be near 90 degrees.
