JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A cold front that pushed through Sunday dropped overnight temperatures and humidity to record lows made for a refreshing start to the work week.
The National Weather Service measured the low Monday at 60 degrees -- the lowest temperature since May 16 and two degrees below the record low temperature for the data. A weather station at Cecil Commerce Center recorded 57 degrees.

Gainesville's low was also 60, Lake City, Waycross and Woodbine dropped to 59 overnight and Hommerville reached 57 degrees.

Monday will be beautiful, gradually warming into the low 80s under blue skies.
Unfortunately, the cool temperatures and low humidity will not stick around, as the area is expected to warm into the upper 80s Tuesday and Wednesday with a 50 percent chance or greater of rain every day the rest of the week.
