A beloved holiday tradition is making its return to the city of JAX in time for Thanksgiving weekend.

The Northern Taurids peaks on Nov. 12, but may be more obstructed by moonlight since the moon will be 79% full.

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is hosting the Colors of the Wind, a ZOOLights Lantern Experience event this month. Guests may remember it from last year. This event will light up the Zoo and gardens starting on November 23rd and going until February with new never-before-seen asian lanterns.

Florida and Georgia are planning on showing honor and gratitude with multiple events around the area. Other local businesses are offering deals and discounts for veterans.
