Christmas 'treecycling' program continues this year in St. Johns County (Provided by St. Johns County)

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – St. Johns County Parks & Recreation is hosting its free “treecycling” program so residents can recycle their Christmas trees into mulch for the county’s parks.

Only real trees will be accepted at the treecycling stations, and all the decorations must be removed before the tree is dropped off.

“This annual event will help continue keeping real Christmas trees out of our landfills and utilizes them in a way that benefits St. Johns County even when they’re no longer lighting up our homes,” St. Johns County Natural Resources Superintendent Nathan Otter said.

  • Ron Parker Park, 607 Old Beach Road
  • Mills Field, 1805 Racetrack Road
  • Davis Park, 210 Davis Park Road
  • Tillman Ridge Transfer Station, 3005 Allen Nease Road
