Liam Lives Foundation hosts 8th annual gala to help families who have suffered pregnancy or infant loss

Infant and pregnancy loss affects thousands of women each year across the country, and many mothers grieve and suffer in silence.

The Liam Lives Foundation aims to help those women and let them know they are not alone.

Dr. Tiffanie L. Williams, the organization’s founder, named it after her son, Liam Elijah Wesley Boatwright, who was stillborn.

Liam Lives seeks to provide counseling and supportive services to families who have suffered from pregnancy and infant loss due to early miscarriage, stillbirth, preterm birth, neonatal, and post-neonatal death.

Through Liam Lives, families have received counseling and support group services, financial services to assist with funeral arrangements, headstones, and memory boxes to help with grief and memorialize their child.

The foundation also provides free angel gowns for the babies’ burial, and education on the impact of pregnancy loss and infant death on mental health, family, and the community.

The organization has made a local, national, and international impact reaching families in Florida, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Alabama, Utah, Indiana, Washington, Jamaica, Haiti, Italy, India, Kenya, and South Africa.

Williams hopes to use her personal experiences to increase awareness surrounding pregnancy loss and infant death and its impact on families.

This weekend, The Liam Lives Foundation is holding its 8th Annual Charity Gala on Sunday at the Jacksonville Public Library downtown.
