JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Mini Bar doughnut shop will no longer be in the Deerwood neighborhood near Gate Parkway.

The owners of The Mini Bar, located at 10618 Deerwood Park Boulevard, broke the news Wednesday on Facebook saying the donut shop will serve up sweet treats for the last time on Nov. 24.

The Mini Bar is known for serving fun-sized donuts with a side of coffee to give guests an experience of more flavors and variety. The owners said they were approached with an offer they “couldn’t refuse” that would allow new owners to convert and rebrand the space to another concept.

This location is Mini Bar’s last Jacksonville store. The original location in Jacksonville Beach, which opened in 2018, closed in February 2023. The Fleming Island shop closed in fall 2022 after eight months, the Jacksonville Daily Record reported.

The Mini Bar owners did not reveal what lies in the future for the space, saying that they would allow the new owners to make that announcement.

“With all of this unfolding over such a short period, we have had very little time to prepare,” the Facebook post stated.

Until the closing date, there will be massive merchandise and inventory sales. The Mini Bar will also modify its hours to have more staff on-site to serve guests in its last days.

“This is truly bittersweet for us! We are forever grateful for your love and support! We look forward to seeing you, and reminiscing over these next two weeks,” the post said.

Community reaction included disappointment in seeing what many called a Jacksonville favorite leave the small-business scene.

“Horribly gutted right now,” TJ Wilson commented on Facebook. “You have always been the best place to get gluten free donuts. everywhere else in jax has been subpar. you will be missed for sure. thanks for the memories.”

Loyal guests like Cheri Flack Jones expressed sadness as well.

“Oh no!! We will miss mini bar so much!!! We loved it in Jax Beach and followed you to Gate Parkway. You will be so missed!!!” Jones wrote.

The Mini Bar will remain open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
