44th annual MLK parade in Jacksonville to take place during Black History Month

The event was postponed in January due to cold weather

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be celebrated in the streets of Jacksonville on Monday, Feb. 17 during Black History Month after the 44th annual parade was postponed in January.

The MLK Holiday Grand Parade will kick off on Monday, Feb. 17 in downtown Jacksonville.

It will begin at 10:30 a.m. from EverBank Stadium Parking Lot J to James Weldon Johnson Park.

The city and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Foundation, Inc. decided it was best to postpone the event due to incoming cold weather.
