Cat food recalled over mold concerns

The manufacturer of a dry cat food is voluntarily recalling the product because of reports of mold.

Halo, Purely for Pets issued a limited, voluntary recall of its Spot's Stew Sensitive Cat Turkey kibble with a 'best by' date of 9/4/2016. No other Halo products are affected.

If you have the product, you should stop feeding it to your cat and return the remaining portion to any Halo retailer for a full refund or replacement.

While some pets can ingest mold without a problem, others may experience digestive issues.

You should consult your veterinarian if your cat experiences issues.

Halo is also instructing retailers to remove Sensitive Cat Turkey products stamped with a 'best by' date of 9/4/2016 from their shelves.
