JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With 13 homicides in November, Jacksonville outpaced last year's total of 120 homicides with a month to go in the year.
News4Jax recorded 126 homicides in Jacksonville through November. Through the first 11 months of 2016, there were 111 homicides in the city, according to our records.

There were 27 homicides reported in the first two months of 2017, another 18 in March and April, 13 in May, 23 in June and July, 11 in August, nine in September and a dozen in October.

Below, we have listed the names and ages of the November homicide victims, where available, and the information surrounding their deaths. We have also included a photo of each victim, where available.

Thursday, Nov. 2
Nicholas Williams, 18
Williams was killed and another teen was wounded while walking on Gailwood Circle East on Jacksonville's Northside. Police did not have a description of the shooter but said someone in a silver Buick LeSabre drove up and started firing from inside the vehicle.
Friday, Nov. 3
Ashley Kraan, 74
Kraan was stabbed to death in Willowbranch Park in the Riverside neighborhood. Police arrested Evan Freda, 41, who has a history of mental health issues. Freda was deemed not competent for prosecution Dec. 11 and will have a competency review in six months.
Saturday, Nov. 4
Telvin Kennedy, 24
Kennedy died of a gunshot wound suffered the night before in a double shooting on West 6th Street in Northwest Jacksonville. Police did not have any description of a shooter.
Friday, Nov. 10
Walter Zelaya-Mendoza, 17
Zelaya-Mendoza was found shot to death in a wooded area on Melissa Court between Ricker and Old Middleburg roads on Jacksonville's Westside. Police did not have a description of the shooter.
Thursday, Nov. 16
Monique Brown, 29
Brown was fatally injured and dragged by a car in a possible robbery attempt on Thompson Street in Jacksonville's Lackawanna neighborhood. The driver was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police do not know the relationship between the two. Detectives said they do not have any witnesses at this point, but they are looking at surveillance video from the area to try and see if they can figure out what happened just before the crash. Police said the case is not being worked as a murder.
Saturday, Nov. 18
Brittany Crawford, 27
Crawford was found shot to death in the street on Columbus Avenue in a double shooting that left a man critically wounded. Police did not have a description of the shooter.
Sunday, Nov. 19
Steven Grady, 26
Grady, of North Carolina, was found dead of a gunshot wound in a car in the northbound lanes of I-95 at the Union Street exit. Tyrell Brown, 32, has been charged with murder. Police said Brown, who was riding in the front passenger seat of Grady's car, woke suddenly from a drug-induced stupor and shot Grady in the head without warning.
Sunday, Nov. 19
Albert Lamar Epperson, 44
Epperson was fatally shot on a porch on Melanie Avenue and his 16-year-old stepdaughter was critically injured in the College Park neighborhood, off Lem Turner Road just north of the Trout River, police said. The girl, who survived, said an argument led to the shooting, which left her with shrapnel in her lungs. Toby Stafford, 41, has been charged with murder and attempted murder in the case.

Nelson Haywood, 25
Haywood was shot and killed at a home on West 18th Street in the Grand Park neighborhood, Jacksonville police said. Homicide detectives believe Haywood was shot through the door of the home. There were other people in the home, but none of them were injured. Police had no details on a motive or suspect.
Monday, Nov. 20
Lonnie Stewart, 64
Stewart was shot to death in the front yard of a home on Wright Avenue off St. Augustine Road, just south of Emerson Street. Investigators do not know if he lived in the home. There was no description of a shooter.
Tuesday, Nov. 21
Jody Lipp, 47
Lipp was shot and killed in front of his Hammond Boulevard home while his family was inside. Police did not have a description of the shooter.
Thursday, Nov. 23
Jarvaris Platts, 19
Platts was shot and killed outside Vibe Sportsbar & Club on Philips Highway in the Englewood neighborhood. Police did not have a description of the shooter, but said the person was in a car traveling southbound on Philips Highway.
Friday, Nov. 24
Roderick Melvin Smith, 33
Smith was found with a gunshot wound in the front yard of a home on Ida Street in the Moncrief neighborhood. Police tried to revive him but he died at the scene. There was no description of a shooter.
