JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A classic battle of man versus beast will take place this weekend at the Professional Bull Riders' Jacksonville Invitational. More than 3,700 tons of dirt has turned the floor of Veterans Memorial Arena into a rodeo ring for shows at 6:45 p.m. Saturday and 1:45 p.m. Sunday.
The two-hour shows feature bull riding showcased in a production with pyrotechnics and rock 'n' roll.

The Jacksonville event will feature reigning PBR world champion Cooper Davis (Buna, Texas), along with two-time world champion J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.); and three-time world champion Silvano Alves (Pilar Do Sul, Brazil). These three will ride alongside young guns like 2016 PBR rookie of the year Jess Lockwood (Volborg, Montana), 2016 PBR World Finals event winner Ryan Dirteater (Hulbert, Oklahoma) and fan favorite 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi (Itupeva, Brazil)
This is the PBR’s elite tour's first stop in Jacksonville since 2008.
