JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Many people called the News4JAX newsroom, Monday evening, to tell us that bassist Banner Thomas has passed away.
On their Facebook page, Molly Hatchet praised Thomas, who played on the band's first four albums.

According to Thomas' Facebook page, he died of complications from pneumonia.
