Going Ringside Ep. 59: Grayson Waller & ‘The Unbreakable Bunch’ movie

Smackdown tag champion and producers of a new pro wrestling/sci-fi movie join the show

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On Wednesday’s packed episode of “Going Ringside,” we start with WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller. Waller recently won the Smackdown tag team championship with Austin Theory at WrestleMania 40.

Waller will perform in Jacksonville when WWE Smackdown comes to the city on May 17. Tickets are still available.

The Australian-born Waller is known for his brash style and willingness to say things that make him a lightning rod for controversy. He courted the most media attention late last year when he called music superstar Taylor Swift a “6″ and challenged her boyfriend Travis Kelce to a fight.

When asked about that controversy on “Going Ringside,” Waller didn’t back down.

“I have no regrets. I stand by my statements. And if Trav ever wants to get in the ring we’re always open,” said Waller. “Imagine the Kelce brothers teaming up and challenging for the Smackdown tag team championships. That’s an incredible story.”

But Waller wasn’t done making big statements in the interview. He also took some subtle shots at Jacksonville-based All Elite Wrestling (AEW), which is WWE’s primary competitor.

AEW is owned by the Khan family, who also own the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“I feel like it’s been years since we’ve seen some real good wrestling in Jacksonville,” said Waller. “It’s not like you can support the Jaguars. That team sucks.”

And Waller wasn’t done running his mouth. You’ll want to listen to what he has to say about UFC legend Conor McGregor, WWE legend Randy Orton and playing the role of Ric Flair on the TV series “Young Rock.”

Also on Wednesday’s episode, we have a must-see interview with the producers of a new sci-fi movie about pro wrestling, called “The Unbreakable Bunch.”

The movie stars multiple pro wrestling legends from the old World Championship Wrestling (WCW) like Diamond Dallas Page, Haku and Larry Zbyszko.
