JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – JoJo Offerman was not even out of her teens when her life changed dramatically. At 19 years old, the young woman was picked up on World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) main roster. Her vocal skills were just as important as her athletic skills as WWE utilized her as both an announcer and singer.
“I was 18 when I first tried out,” said Offerman. “It started off as just an innocent tryout that I didn’t think much would come of. And I didn’t even really know what to expect.”
Offerman said the chaotic lifestyle of a career in WWE was quickly thrown at her.
“I didn’t even realize how intense it was until I was way into it. I was like, ‘What am I doing? I’m never home,’” said Offerman.
But a funny thing happened in the land of headlocks and suplexes, Offerman found something more than fame and a grueling schedule. She found love.
“Just through friends,” said Offerman of how she connected with Bray Wyatt (real name Windham Rotunda). “Well through work, obviously, and kind of the same group of friends. A lot of the boys, a lot of the girls we spent a lot of our time together obviously. Days, five days a week on the road we became a family. And spending time with him, more and more time together, the closer we became as friends and one thing led to another, and we realized we liked each other.”
Eventually, the love blossomed, and the couple had two children together and were engaged to be married. But life changed for Offerman and her entire family in August of last year when the wrestling world was shocked to hear Wyatt had passed away at the young age of 36.

“There are good days and there are bad days,” said Offerman. “It’s honestly very difficult most days, but I’ve always said that Windham and I, you guys know him as Bray. Our relationship was so strong, it was such a beautiful thing. That’s what gets me going knowing that we had that kind of love.”
Offerman added the outpouring of support for her and her two children has been overwhelming since his passing.
“The wrestling community, even beyond, they’ve really had my back. Especially people within the company have really just stepped up and helped me get through a lot of my days. If it wasn’t for a lot of friends and family, obviously family, I don’t know where I would be,” said Offerman.
