Critically full: ACPS offering free dog adoptions through Friday

No-cost adoptions apply to all medium, large dogs

These pups are currently up for adoption in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS) needs help emptying its critically full shelter.

It is offering free dog adoptions through Friday, July 1, on all medium and large dogs. The no-cost adoptions apply to dogs weighing 40 pounds or more.

ACPS is also asking for loving families to foster dogs for the 4th of July holiday weekend.

“The shelter can be a loud, stressful place with all the neighborhood celebrations,” ACPS said. “Help us give the dogs their freedom this independence day.”

Adoption Hours: Monday - Friday: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. | Saturday - Sunday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
