JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The City of Jacksonville will have five locations again this year where spectators can watch a fireworks show on the 4th of July this year.
But if you’re planning to go downtown for the big U.S. Independence Day show, plan to get there a little earlier than last year.

The show on the river will be at 9 p.m. this year. Last year, it launched at 9:45 p.m.
The rest of the shows around the city will also start at 9 p.m. and include the following locations:
- Ray Greene Park (The park will be closed for the launch)
- The Avenues Mall
- Trinity Baptist Church
- Ed Austin Regional Park
Spectators can view the fireworks from the North and South banks along the St. Johns River in Downtown Jacksonville, as well as from surrounding areas near the additional launch sites.
Not listed on the map is a fireworks display in Jacksonville Beach. Fireworks will be launching from the pier (504 1st St. N.) at 9 p.m. with a “test” shot at 8:45 p.m. This display is open to the public but will not be featured in our 4th of July show.
