“It was time to try something new that still allows me to focus on the community,” she said.

News4JAX team members who said goodbye to her on Friday said the newsroom will miss her endless energy, meticulous planning, empathy, and creativity.

“The best part has been working one-on-one with reporters to take every story to the next level and make it the best it can be,” she said.

Mohrmann has worked in newsrooms in South Carolina and Oregon since 1996, and said she will miss working with her talented coworkers the most when she moves on.

As the newsroom gathered for her last day, Mohrmann fought back tears as she recounted the late nights and connections with each person she had crossed paths with over her rewarding news career.

You will be missed, Jodi!
