She told us then that this was a pact she made with her mother and siblings; that if anything were to happen to one of them, they would take in the others’ children.
Londeshua opened up to me about what led up to the adoptions, and the one big wish on her heart: Finding Mr. Right.

Londeshua said she believes in creating a united family where everyone has a place. And with the right partner, she knows they can thrive even more.

Unveiling the adoption process
Then, if you’ve ever wondered about the adoption process or what it takes to welcome a child into your home, I also visited with local adoption supervisor Lauren Guion at The LJD Jewish Family and Community Services for a look inside the world of adoption and foster care.
Lauren, who oversees cases where children are also placed from different counties and states, breaks down the essential steps in the adoption process.
From trauma-informed care classes to background checks and home studies, Lauren explains how her agency ensures that every potential adoptive parent is fully prepared and supported during a process that often involves foster parents, relatives, and even non-relatives who step up to help provide a seamless transition from foster care to adoption.
Currently serving more than 500 children in out-of-home care, with 300 of those kids in licensed foster homes, The LJD Jewish Family and Community Services says the need for loving, stable families is huge.
Beyond the paperwork and logistics, Lauren emphasizes the importance of her position: Offering emotional and practical support for families through connections to counseling, parenting resources, financial assistance, and more.
