JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The giant mouth that welcomed visitors to “The Body Within” exhibit at the Museum of Science & History has a new home.
The 18.5-foot long by 8-foot wide mouth sculpture was moved Thursday from the museum near Friendship Park on Museum Circle across the St. Johns River to Hemming Park.

The mouth was transported on a flatbed truck across the Acosta Bridge to its new home near Sweet Pete's candy shop.
The mouth was installed at MOSH in 2009 when The Body Within exhibit opened. It will now be part of MOSH's upcoming “Health in Motion” exhibit at Hemming Park.
The Health in Motion project, slated for a June 2016 opening, is an unprecedented collaboration between MOSH and five of Jacksonville’s leading health care systems: Baptist Health/Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Brooks Rehabilitation, Mayo Clinic, St. Vincent’s Health Care and UF Heath Jacksonville.
