A drop in temperatures will provide perfect weather for attending outdoor events around Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. We will see temperatures in the mid-50s this weekend, which means it’s time to break out those light sweaters and jackets.

Whether you are seeking free family activities or something more exciting, we have compiled a list of events that we believe you will enjoy.

• St. Marys Seafood Festival 🆓🎶 On Nov. 16, The St. Marys Seafood Festival will bring a day of family fun to the Georgia coast. The festival includes a 5K and 10K Run, a 10 a.m. parade, a Kids Fun Zone, arts & crafts vendors, and an afternoon of free concerts. Performers include the Saltwater Gypseas at 12:30 p.m., the Camden Community Band at 2:30 p.m., and King Cheese & The Other Mothers at 4:00 p.m. More info

• Duval Music Jam 💰 “We will have “Turkey Sundays, think of a Sundae but with Thanksgiving all in one cup. BBQ specials all day, rib specials all day, happy hour 12-4 p.m., beer specials all day, full bar, 50+ whiskeys, and more. Everyone who comes out gets a free beer and a free shot from Coors Light & Fireball!” More info

• TEDxJacksonville Conference 2024: The Overlap 💰 “TEDxJacksonville 2024 “The Overlap” features National Speakers, Food, and Music, and More on Nov. 16 at UNF’s Lazzara Performance Center.“ More info

• Law Enforcement K9 Competition💰🐶 This event will showcase the remarkable skills of police dogs. K9 teams throughout the state will compete in a timed obstacle course meant to mimic situations the officers and dogs may encounter while doing police work. All money will benefit K9s United and help fulfill their mission of supporting law enforcement K9 units here in NE Florida. More info

• K-pop Bop Nite - JAX 💰🎶“Now make a wish because it’s DJ Winelights’ birthday party!!! Come out for 4+ hours of K-pop DJ sets with the K-pop Bop Nite crew!” More info

• SAUCE BOSS at Cafe 11 💰🎶 “Don’t miss the Sauce Boss at The Original Cafe Eleven on Nov. 15 in St. Augustine Beach! Reserved table seating....gumbo included! Dinner is served until the performance begins. All Ages. Bill Wharton is a powerhouse entertainer, mixing his Bluesy slide guitar and soulful voice into an unforgettable, high-energy show. His very own hot sauce spices up a big pot of gumbo while he spices up the show with his own original Blues. It’s a soul-shouting picnic of Rock and Roll brotherhood, with the audience stirring the pot, and at the end of the show, everyone eats.” More info

• Best Rucker Weekend 🏃 On Nov. 15 and 16, GORUCK is hosting a 50-mile race through Jacksonville. Participants will have 45lbs on their backs, and they have to complete it in 20 hours. There will be prizes, games and more. GORUCK and +More Perfect Union (+MPU) aim to bring people of differing political backgrounds together. More info

• Jacksonville City-Wide Crusade 🆓 The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at APR Heritage Park in Jacksonville, with an expected attendance of over 1,500 people. This is a free event, open to all members of our community. The Crusade aims to bring the community together for a day of faith, wellness, and family activities. More info

• 33rd Annual Holiday Shoppes 💰 The First Coast Cultural Center’s 33rd Annual Holiday Shoppes will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, and Sunday, Nov. 17, at 6000B Sawgrass Village Circle, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082. This event features local and national artisans, craftspeople, and unique holiday gifts, including charcuterie boards, glasswork, accessories, clothes, shoes, handmade holiday gifts, sweets, luxury items, and more! • The Moonlight Market 🆓 “Uptown St. Augustine’s most magical night is returning. The Moonlight Market, presented by Jenna Alexander Studio and Sunday Gathering Table, will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 73 San Marco Ave. This free evening market celebrates local creatives by bringing together artists and art lovers to peruse and purchase unique artisan items, including handmade goods, art, ceramics, and vintage. DJ Zach Engh spins mood music, while Sunday serves up fresh burgers with vegetable jardiniere. A market highlight is the release of Jenna Alexander’s third annual St. Augustine holiday illustration.” More info

Free family fun: Save big during ‘Kids Free November’ in 2024 🆓

For the tenth year in a row, Visit Jacksonville has partnered with the city’s top family attractions for Kids Free November, a special month-long promotion that offers free admission and other discounted activities for children at local museums and attractions. During Kids Free November, more than a dozen listed participants will offer free or discounted admission for up to five children under the age of 12 with general adult admission at participating locations.
