JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Your choice for Jacksonville’s best public art highlights avians that can be seen all around the beautiful state of Florida.
The “Shorebirds of Florida” mural was created by Mary Joan Hinson and can be found in St. Nicholas. It resides at 2624 Atlantic Blvd.
The large, 125 by 17 feet, mural was pained by Hinson in 2021. It took her three weeks and 135 cans of paint, according to the Ponte Vedra Recorder.
Hinson has been featured during “Mural Monday,” a segment on Channel 4 created to highlight local artists in our area.
