Jacksonville’s best locally-brewed fall beer: Jax Boot, Legacy Ale Works

Facebook: Legacy Ale Works

Your choice for Jacksonville’s best locally-brewed fall beer takes us to Legacy Ale Works, which was also your choice for Jacksonville’s best Oktoberfest.

The seasonal brew is a Märzen style that carries a light malt sweetness. It’s easy-drinking and has a low bitterness from the hops.

Legacy is located on the corner of US-1 and Old. St. Augustine Road and it has a collection of house-made craft beers on tap.

“From Waterfront Brewing in Key West to Russian River in California, we have incorporated the best practices from dozens (maybe hundreds) of the many breweries we’ve visited into our home at Legacy Ale Works,” owners Matt and Liz Jacobs write.

The courtyard area is dog-friendly. Every Friday, there’s live music from 7-9 p.m.

Head to Legacy’s website for a look at the tap list.
