JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Northeast Florida is booming and with all the growth, our local roadways are getting clogged with serious congestion.
From Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam, or St. Johns Counties, chances are, there’s something you believe could be better about transportation in these areas.
Agencies like FDOT and the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization need your help to figure out where changes need to be made to improve traffic.
They’ve mailed out the North Florida Transportation Survey in an effort to collect information about how people travel and why they travel a certain way. Participants in the survey will get the chance to win a prize.
The survey a chance to let transportation planning groups know what mobility is like for you where you live.
The groups putting out the survey want to know exactly what you encounter while going out and about on a typical day. Whether you're driving to the grocery store, riding your bike to work, or walking your dog, they want to know what can be better.
By gathering information about peoples' travel patterns, how long it takes them to get from point A to point B, the groups can better understand what works well, and how mobility can be improved.
The survey has two parts to it.
The first part includes questions about your household, your cars, and how you typically travel.
The second part delves deeper. Everyone in your home would need to answer these questions. This further addresses travel topics.
For those who are interested in taking the survey but didn’t receive it in the mail, head to the online survey by clicking here.
By completing the survey, you will automatically be entered into a drawing for an iPhone X or a $100 gift card for Amazon or Walmart.
