Detectives Investigate Weekend Homicides, Shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Homicide investigators responded to three deaths and a shooting that has a man in critical condition in separate weekend incidents.

Early Sunday morning, police were called to shooting on the Northside that left a man in critical condition.

Police called to an apartment complex at New Kings Road and Patterson Avenue just after midnight found a man lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to Shands, where he underwent emergency surgery.

The victim's name has not been released, nor has any suspect information.

Police continue to search Monday morning for the person responsible for killing a man on the Westside Sunday.

Police were called to the 5700 block of Lenox Avenue Sunday morning after shots were fired at the Lenox Court apartments.

Police said 32-year old Linton Walker was found dead on the sidewalk with an apparent gun shot wound.

Homicide detectives said they suspect foul play in the death of a 50-year-old woman found in her Westside home on Saturday.

Police said they found the body of Mary Perkins inside her home in the 3500 block of Roselle Street after getting a call from her landlord that she had not been seen in a while.

Investigators have not said how or when she died, or released any information about a suspect.
