Police said she called 911 Tuesday saying she drowned her two children, and during the call she shot herself. She later died at a hospital.
"I just killed my two kids," Murray told the dispatcher, John Girton. After a long pause without responding to any questions, Murray told the Girton, "I just shot myself."

Girton said the call still haunts his thoughts. He said at first, he hoped the call was a prank, but when he realized it was real, his training kicked in.
"It was devastating, but I'm trained to focus on the task, and that's what I tried to do," Girton said.
He said all the operators who worked the call spoke with grief counselors, which he said helped immensely.
"I just closed my ears to it. I really don't want to hear it again," Girton said. "The call is in my head. I don't have to hear it over and over again."
