BLACKSHEAR, Ga. – Eleven-year-old published author, Sarah Voskamp, will make appearances at Patterson Elementary School, Blackshear Elementary, and Midway Elementary on Oct. 21.
She will also be available for a book signing for the general public and local home school community at The Comfort Inn of Blackshear from 7 to 9 p.m. the evening before her school appearances.

Voskamp's book Filly Girls was published by Boutique of Quality Books Publishing Company last December.
?Principals and teachers are recognizing that Sarah can help set a positive example of what even children can do when they have a passion and follow their dreams,? said Kim Voskamp, Sarah's mother.
Her book is about three horseback-riding best friends who learn what it takes to go after their dreams and then live with the outcome, even though it might not be what they expected.
?Sarah?s main character, Ellie Kerhage, is a precocious, rather spoiled twelve-year-old girl who is used to getting her way," Publisher Terri Leidich said, "Yet this young author does a great job in taking the adolescent reader along on the journey as Ellie learns some valuable life lessons.?
